“ There's free unlimited service of peanuts, fried wonton strips, pickled veggies, pork bone broth soup, and tea before you start eating! The rice noodles are silky and thin with a good mouthfeel. The beef brisket rice rolls did not have much sauce and was slightly heavier on the star anise flavor, the meat was tender and fatty, and the preserved egg and meat rice roll was just ok, and the wonton noodle soup was hearty but didn't have that much flavor. Price point is amazing for the food you get. I would come back for the comfort of the meal since it felt so home-y ”
“ When the place is packed in the middle of the afternoon, and everyone except you is Asian, you know it's legit. This is a serve-yourself hole in the wall. They have free (as far as I could tell) tea and various condiments, peanuts, and spicy pickles, you can go and grab to add to your dish. Their noodles are delicious! The rice roll was yummy. Very light and savory. I didn't care for the filling (beef and pork) though. Pro tip: add egg, which they somehow mix right into the roll. You can taste the eggy flavor in the dish. Beef with flat rice noodles was just OK. The sauce is good, but there is little of it. Some of the beef was ice cold, like from the fridge cold, some was fried nicely, and some was rare. I don't know what to make of that. We penalty wouldn't order that one again. The tofu appetizer was a nice size for $6. Overall: come for the rice rolls. Try the different filings. ”
